Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using OK Birdies ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

OK Birdies reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Eligibility

You must meet the following criteria to use OK Birdies:

• Be at least 13 years of age (or age of majority in your jurisdiction)
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

User Accounts

Account Registration

To participate in OK Birdies, you must:

• Create an account with accurate information
• Provide a valid handicap or skill level
• Keep your account information current
• Not impersonate others or create fake accounts

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

League Participation

Honest Play

All participants must:

• Provide accurate handicap information
• Report scores honestly and promptly
• Attest to opponent scores accurately
• Rate opponent handicap accuracy fairly
• Follow the rules of golf and local course regulations

Sandbagging and Cheating

OK Birdies employs anti-sandbagging measures including peer ratings and performance tracking. Deliberate misrepresentation of handicaps or scores may result in:

• Handicap adjustments
• Point penalties
• Suspension from current season
• Permanent ban from the platform

Match Obligations

When matched for league play, you agree to:

• Make reasonable efforts to schedule and complete matches
• Communicate with partners and opponents
• Play during designated match windows
• Submit scores within required timeframes
• Be respectful and sportsman-like

User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Use offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language
• Attempt to manipulate rankings or scores
• Share your account with others
• Use automated systems or bots
• Reverse engineer or compromise the Platform
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Fees and Payments

League participation may require payment of fees, which will be clearly communicated before you register. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or at OK Birdies' sole discretion.

You are responsible for your own golf course green fees, cart rentals, and other golf-related expenses.

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of OK Birdies (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software) are owned by OK Birdies and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute Platform content without permission
• Use OK Birdies branding for commercial purposes
• Create derivative works based on the Platform

Disclaimers and Limitations

Platform Availability

OK Birdies is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the Platform.

Golf Activity Risks

Golf involves inherent risks. By participating in OK Birdies leagues, you acknowledge that:

• Golf is a physical activity with potential injury risks
• You participate at your own risk
• OK Birdies is not responsible for injuries or accidents during play
• You should maintain appropriate insurance coverage

Third-Party Interactions

OK Birdies facilitates connections between players but is not responsible for:

• Disputes between players
• Actions or conduct of other users
• Issues with golf courses or facilities

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OK Birdies and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform or participation in league activities.

Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to OK Birdies in the past 12 months.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Fraudulent or harmful behavior
• Requests from law enforcement
• Extended inactivity

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of OK Birdies shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or Platform notification. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
